As you can see, there hasn't been much activity on here in 2010. Sorry about that.
We now have a strengthened District Explorer team, which means the Young Leader scheme will be getting a much-needed boost.
Training is being planned for spring 2011, and there will also be 'mentoring' visits - to see all young leaders in action in their sections.
Don't forget, Ade is here to help all young leaders. If you've got any questions do get in touch (details on the right).

Again, let Ade know if you're interested.

New Year - New Young Leaders
It's 2009 - in case any of you hadn't noticed. This year we'll be concentrating on getting more young leaders through the training programme, and ensuring that all young people who are working in sections know about the Hunt Unit.
If you know of anyone 14-17 working in Beavers, Cubs, or Scouts please let them know about the Unit.

Training - thoughts wanted
Anyone with ideas on how the YL training should be delivered?
Would weekends be better, or weekday evenings?
Should modules be delivered one at a time, or combined in a longer session?
Let Ade know...

Ashdown Young Leaders - Prepare for Take Off!
At long last - here we are - Ashdown District's very own Young Leader Unit.
Everyone aged 14-17 working in Ashdown District as a leader in a beaver colony, cub pack, or scout troop is automatically a member of the Hunt Unit. Most will already be registered with the Explorer Units - Avery, Mallory, or Tullis. If not, registration as a member of Scouting will be through the Hunt Unit.
Any questions, get in touch with Ade - the Explorer Scout Leader (Young Leader)
